Breast Cancer Glass Ribbon ProjectFusing Glass, Sharing Strength, Giving Hope in the fight to end Breast Cancer
The Glass Ribbon Project got its start as a community program for Jewish women with breast cancer. Women and others touched by the disease created the pink glass mosaics that became part of the Gary Rosenthal Collection’s beautiful Glass Ribbon line of Judaica. Whether through donating pieces to a newly diagnosed grandmother and her family, or with a monetary contribution to Sharsheret in support of Jewish women in the fight, Glass Ribbon has been a successful and meaningful program for many, but has barely scratched the potential good it can represent.
Now Gary is looking to open the program in ways that can be more inclusive to all fighting breast cancer. Through strength stones and candlesticks that keep the light alive, Gary hopes to create something that is meaningful and supportive to women and their families all over the country as they battle this disease.
